Byakugan (Hyuga Bloodline)
Name of Bloodline | Byakugan
Type of Bloodline | Dojutsu
Possessors | Hyuga Clan
Appearance |
This dōjutsu usually is manifested as very distinctive eyes, characterized by their enlarged and featureless white irides with no visible pupils. It is when the eyes are active that the pupils become more distinct, usually showing the outline of the pupil and iris. The veins on the temples begin to bulge in conjunction with the more defined eyes. Unlike other dōjutsu, the Byakugan is normally available to its users from birth, and on rarer occasions, the dōjutsu can be awakened.
Abilities |
When the Byakugan is activated, the user gains an extra-sensory perception, which gives them penetrating sight and telescopic vision. This allows them to see the tenketsu; the internal chakra circulatory system 361 pressure points. This vision also grants the member a near 360° view of their surroundings, the higher the skill of the clan member, the further the distance from which they can sense incoming attacks. Visually for the user the surroundings will lose all their color making all seem black, white, and shades of grey. The only color the user can notice is the color of chakra, typically taking on a luminescent blue-ish white color. This light is most noticeable on the tenketsu, nodes from which chakra can be released. The human body has 361 tenketsu, each of which is located along the chakra pathway system. It is because of their ability to see tenketsu that the Hyuga are able to use perhaps the second most notable feature, the taijutsu style known as the Gentle Fist.
Stage 1 (Adolescent) ~ The lowest skill level of the Byakugan, essentially an untrained dojutsu possessed typically by Hyuuga civilians, children, and those that manifest their dojutsu later in life. Those possessing this stage of the Byakugan are capable using C-Rank bloodline related jutsu and/or techniques.
Stage 2 (Adult) - At this stage one begins to grasp the nature of the Byakugan and begin to use it as a means to compliment themselves more personally. They are able to learn A-Rank or lower bloodline jutsu/techniques and can create their own custom bloodline jutsu/techniques.
Stage 3 (Matured) - Essentially the pinnacle of the power of the Byakugan. User possessing this stage are considered masters of their Byakugan
Weaknesses | Keen Sight Curse (Bloodline Weakness) - Despite their ability to see through walls and and illusions, the keen eyesight of the Bloodline causes blinding related jutsu have twice the effect and will interrupt any action being taken at that moment by the bloodline possessor. *Only if the Doujutsu is Active. If not active, then the flash bomb or blinding attack will work as normal.*

Re: Byakugan (Hyuga Bloodline)
Name: Byakugan: Activation
Specialty: Doujutsu
Rank: D
Element: N/A
Cost: 10 [5 per Round of Posting to Sustain]
Range: Self
Duration:
Stage One~ 5 Rounds of Post (Eyes become strained and must be deactivated) [3 Rounds of Posting Cooldown]
Stage Two ~ 8 Rounds of Post (Eyes become strained and must be deactivated) [2 Rounds of Posting Cooldown]
Stage Three ~ 10 Rounds of Post (Eyes become strained and must be deactivated) [1 Rounds of Posting Cooldown]
Description: Upon activation, the changes and effects are immediate. The veins on the temple begin to bulge, though don't pulsate so much as they become much more visible. The eyes that often appear to be without any pupils at all become more defined, an outline of the actual iris now becoming more visible. Activation allows for the user to see 360 degree, the radius depending on the how much has mastered their Byakugan. Visually all color will fade from the world, with chakra being the only visible colors in a grey surrounding. This allows for the user to see the Tenketsu of any person in their in their field of vision; this includes if they are even hidden behind an physical obstruction. To the user the tenketsu shine brighter than even chakra flow given that they are chakra points of focus, despite the tenketsu being the size of needles (much to small for the Sharingan to see thus the difference of the two in regards to seeing chakra). Only a fully mastered Byakugan is able to see the 8 Gates. Due to the nature of the doujutsu, genjutsu that are meant to fool what one sees do not work on the user if the Byakugan is active.
Stage One: 30 Meter Radius
Stage Two: 40 Meter Radius
Stage Three: 50 Meter Radius
Status: Byakugan Bloodline Only
Name: Byakugan: Telescopic View
Specialty: Doujutsu

By doing so they lose their 360 degree vision, but can spot an enemy or ally at a much further distance. The distance itself is based on the amount of chakra one puts into the jutsu.
